Hi, I’m Jenn! I’m so grateful to be serving on the National team as the new Content Developer at Waiting in Hope Ministries, and to share a little of my background so you can get to know me and learn why waiting is so dear to my heart.
My family story is a testament to God’s faithfulness and unmatched ability to surprise us. His plan was much harder and far better than what my husband and I could’ve imagined.
We struggled with infertility for three years, enduring several rounds of painful tests and unsuccessful treatments. During that time we also began pursuing adoption. Two months after we went through a failed IVF cycle, we got a call that a birthmother who just had a baby had chosen us, and through what’s called a “stork drop” adoption, we became parents overnight to our son. He’s surprise #1. Less than a year and a half later, we found out we were pregnant and later delivered our second son. He’s surprise #2.
As I was waiting, though I didn’t doubt God’s existence, I questioned His goodness, planting this intense desire in my heart while not enabling me to fulfill it.
Despite my distrust, He led me through grief and showed me far more goodness He had in store for this season.
By His divine orchestration, He brought new friends into my life to shoulder the burden of infertility and to use my pain for His glory.
He did this once, in the midst of waiting for children, by introducing me to a friend so we could together start a local support group called Graceful Wait. He did it again when we moved across the country with our children, and He paired me with another friend to start a group in my new community. And now, He’s doing it a third time, joining me with the Waiting in Hope team to encourage those enduring the wait and point us all to Jesus as our hope for life.
I’m honored and grateful to partner with Waiting in Hope and walk in the good work God has prepared before us. It’s a joy and privilege to wait with you.
